At Easter 2022, the world around us is convulsing. Once-in-a-generation challenges, and evils that would have been unthinkable a few years ago, have now become commonplace. Many are thinking, “So much has changed - what happened to the world we knew?” Current events can be unsettling, and hard to understand. But when it seems like everything familiar has changed, God’s Word makes clear that one thing has not: After shedding His blood and dying on the cross for our sins, Jesus conquered the grave! This is why we as Christians have true hope. Our great Redeemer has dealt with our ultimate problem. And He is alive forevermore. Nothing is too hard for Him. He is indeed Lord of all.

           Maybe right now it feels like some things in your life are crumbling – perhaps your health, or finances, or relationships. If so, know this: absolutely nothing can separate you from His love.

           The Bible says, “Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?...nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:35, 38-39)

           So right now, right where you are, hold on tightly to this wonderful truth. Savor it…celebrate it…and share it. And have a blessed Easter!
