Mega Bubble Formula!

Note: Some bubble people use Glycerin, Sugar, Karo Syrup or Baking Powder and other ingredients in their formulas. They constantly try out new ones to improve on their bubblemaking.
Note: After bubble-making, your solution will start to deteriorate. You can add water or more soap to improve it. When that fails, make a new batch!
Depending on the kind of water you use [hard water, sulfury] the amount of each ingredient can change too. Have fun and experiment. The Mega Bubble Man tests each solution by dipping Mayor ROY G BIV into the bubble bucket and sees how many bubbles he can make with one dip. One time he made 100 bubbles on 1 dip!
Thank you for coming to Bubblopolis! Perhaps you saw the Mega Bubble Man perform today or you participated in the Mega Bubble Arena and you want to make big bubbles too. That's awesome. The mega bubble formula is different than a little bubble formula. So be prepared to make the big guys!! Click on ingredients for where to buy.

When Mega Bubble Man makes a solution he uses 4 to 5 times as much ingredients! This is what the Mega Bubble Man does a day before his performances.
Caution! Do not drink this mixture. If you do, you may get a sick stomach. Drink lots of water to help.

Pour in 15 cups of lukewarm water into a gallon container. I put both the hot and cold taps on full force simultaneously.
Don't add any ingredients yet.
In a small mug add the Guar Gum or CMC plus the J-Lube. Add a small amount of the 50% Isopropyl Alcohol until fully mixed. Have proper ventilation to avoid fumes.
Measure 3 tsps of Guar Gum into the mug.
OR
Add 10 1/2 tbps of Ultra Dawn into the Mug and throughly mix! This is called a Gooey Mix!
1/2 Tsp of J Lube and Mix!
Add mixture into water and stir gently for about 30 seconds. Let it sit overnight for best results! If you're not patient enough, use right away!!!! LOL
Optionally add a 1/2 tsp of Baking Soda
* Main Uses of Baking Soda in Bubble Solution:
Purpose Explanation
1. pH Buffering Baking soda raises or stabilizes the pH of the solution slightly (makes it more alkaline), which can help improve bubble wall strength and consistency.
2. Smooth Film Formation At the right concentration, it can reduce harshness from strong detergents (like Dawn), helping the bubble film be softer and stretchier.
3. Water Softening (mild) In very small amounts, it can slightly soften tap water, reducing the negative effects of minerals that disrupt bubble performance.
4. Anti-Pop Under Sunlight or Wind When paired with other stabilizers, it helps maintain better film resilience during outdoor conditions.
OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS to help if your water is highly chlorinated or hard or has a need to adjust its pH. Testing with each mixture is the best way.
Add a pinch of Citric Acid Powder into the water and stir first. This will change the pH into a standard that will receive the Gooey Mix well.
What Citric Acid Does in Bubble Solution:
Function Effect
1. Lowers the pH Citric acid is mildly acidic, so it reduces alkalinity. This helps balance formulas that are too high in pH (especially when using strong soaps like Dawn or Oxadol).
2. Softens water slightly It can bind with minerals (like calcium or magnesium), which helps reduce the negative effects of hard water.
3. Improves surface tension consistency A slightly acidic solution can form more uniform films, improving bubble clarity and control.
4. Acts as a gentle chelating agent Helps prevent minerals and polymers from clumping or reacting poorly over time.

Mega Bubble Man will sometimes use this for his stage show! It's a guaranteed to bring lots of excellent bubbles!
Add the Isopropyl Alcohol and mix thoroughly with ventilation!
For some homes, your tap water may have chlorine in it. This is hazardous to bubbles! Two options to help with bubble solutions is dechlorinating it or using Spring or Distilled Water.
This Dechlorinator product has amazing effects improving your bubble solution big time!
